Starting your own business is an exciting and challenging adventure, but it can be extremely daunting if you have additional barriers to overcome, such as disability or being long term unemployed. Outset offers start-up support to include and support everyone, working with people from a range of different backgrounds, and often with different needs.
The team at Outset focus their approach on building the person as well as the business. They provide workshops, online resources and advisor support to help local entrepreneurs explore whether their ideas can grow into viable and successful businesses.
The current Outset Enterprise Coaching programme is part of the wider New Start Devon project and has been running since 2019. Working with a range of partners in Plymouth, they have already supported well over 200 businesses and individuals. It all starts with a foundation ‘Introduction to Business’ webinar series, and further training across a range of areas including social media and online selling is also available. Clients benefit from time with a local team of experienced advisers for more tailored individual support and a year’s worth of access to the Outset online learning platform, which provides flexible resources, 24/7.
