As Plymouth City Council’s Adult Education and Skills provision, On Course South West deliver qualifications and non-accredited learning opportunities to adults across a wide range of subjects.

With over 1000 new Adult Learners each year, On Course South West are proud to offer courses that support learners to reach their goals.

They are currently offering the following courses;

• Supporting your child with GCSE Maths - FREE Perfect to help parents understand assessment objectives and up to date methods

• Hair and Beauty Courses  - In partnership with GHQ Training - FREE With an Introduction into the exciting world of Hairdressing and Discover your Beauty Skills, you will get to learn from industry professionals, engage in practical sessions, and train with the latest equipment.

• Kitchen Secrets - £10 Perfect for those wanting to learn how to cook like a pro, while making budget friendly, family dishes! This is a three week course where you will learn everything from learning how to handle knives safely, to choosing the best fruit and veg, and the secret to a perfect steak!

• Video Games Design with Blender - Cost available on request Perfect for those wanting to know the basics of video game development, using Blender. This is a five week, practical course, where you will have tutor led demonstrations.

• Supporting Children with Difficult Behaviour - FREE This short course uses small group work and general group discussions to introduce the topic of children with challenging behaviour. You will explore possible explanations for this behaviour and method of managing it. 

• Felt Making for Spring - Full Fee £38, Concession £21 Embark on a creative journey into the world of felt making with this practical course, designed to transform raw fibres into stunning, tactile creations. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and immerse yourself in the hands-on process of transforming raw wool into felted masterpieces. 

• Health and Safety Awareness- Full Fee £23, Concession - FREE This qualification is designed for a wide range of learners who want to develop their knowledge and understanding of health and safety.
