Today, Friday 17 June, is Employability Day. Today is super important for team Launchpad as our mission is to help connect the people of Plymouth with opportunities to develop skills, access education or training, and land their dream career and/or job.
In the city, we are fortunate to have some excellent training providers offering training and education at all levels.
For our 16 to 24-year-olds, there are some fantastic pre-employability programmes from our partners at Prince's Trust, Young Devon, Groundworks South, Battling On, Focus Five, and more; and adults can benefit from excellent employability support from the likes of Eat That Frog, On Course South West, City College Plymouth and the National Careers Service.
The support available is there, BUT it can be difficult to navigate. That's where we come in.

If you're ready to boost your employability, we want to hear from you.
Our Youth Hub Coordinator, Rhianne, is available to support ANY 16 to 24-year-old with their next steps (she will happily speak with parents and carers too) and Emma our Adult Hub Coordinator can help ANYONE aged 25+.
Getting involved is easy, either sign up here for 1:1 support or drop in to see the team at Skills Launchpad Plymouth on the first floor of Barclays Bank in the city centre. Drop-ins are available Monday to Thursday between 12 and 3pm.
Alternatively, you can help yourself to our free Youth Hub resources here, or Adult Hub resources here.
